After teaching 5 years, the first thing I have to admit that I was never very successful group of students in mathematics. Every time I’m in my early years trying, chaos would break out, and I have a room full of students and extortion activities outside.
However, in our school district, the constant pressure of individualized accommodations for students who do not achieve the level of material quality has asked me to effective group no matter what its class.
I felt that with the group, I can have a smaller environment where students can collaborate with others on the same level of competence. In this way the activities of this group would be in the range of skills and they would feel great pressure to do the task beyond their reach.
The key to success with groups
The most important step is to teach students to make sure that your expectations at the time of the working group. Just see how it is expected that the transition in these groups, how you plan to start a business, the volume level is maintained, and if you group by the end of the working time passes.
Planning is very important to the success of the group. Planning for students in each group, the total number of groups in the classroom, and what each group will be completed. This is all important questions that need to be carefully addressed. Without an effective plan, you will soon discover the stability of each group of fragments, and increased noise around you.
Keep in mind that time a group is an opportunity for students to develop new teaching materials for the war, if the teacher works with a group learn.
Generally, the groups give students the opportunity to special rules or concepts that they have learned, review and practice the material to digest.

In short, these three important points in mind:
1) Carefully plan your group, and are flexible, depending on their level of performance.
2) teach students how it works exactly as group management and behavior of your expectations. Do not assume that I know.
